Town & Country Bank participates in Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka’s Affordable Housing Program (AHP) to assist low and moderate-income first-time homebuyers with down payment assistance grants of up to $7,500 to help them purchase a home. Beginning March 1 of each year, a new pool of funds is made available for these down payment assistance grants which are disbursed first come first served until the funding is exhausted for the year.
The Homeownership Set-aside Program (HSP) provides down payment, closing cost and repair assistance to first-time homebuyers earning at or below 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI). This grant is forgivable with a five-year retention period. Town & Country Bank will review your eligibility for these funds as a part of your application process. If you have questions about this grant, please ask one of our home lenders.
